A random Friday night at classic old Irish pub O’Loughlin’s in Dun Laoghaire – one of the few places left alone by Celtic Tiger brass knobs, carpets, flashy lighting and cushioned stools. Serving behind the bar was Maurice O’Loughlin – one of three brothers who own the family-run gem. The two ladies drinking in the snug are Carol McCormack and Phyllis Tate.
